How to Copy from Toby to a Word Processor

Let’s look at how to copy your chat output to Word properly. Before beginning, I want to let you know that in a very short time frame, this procedure will look slightly different as the Chat window in Toby will be a full-fledged-document editor. Remember, too, this all works best in the Chrome browser.

First, let Toby give you your Chat output. Go to the Markdown button, which will flip the chat window around to the “Markdown” window, which is another way of saying “format” window. Now, click the Copy button. Your copied text can now be pasted into Word.

What about more complicated Chat output? Some of you have noted the “Black Boxes” sometimes appear in the Chat. This is, again, preparation for the document editor. The procedure, however, is the same. Go to the Markdown button and flip the Chat to the Markdown window. Now click the “Copy” button. Paste this into Word, and your text appears without any other formatting.
