Imagine a world where you could breathe life into your wildest imaginations by merely describing them. That is the promise of DALL-E 3, a powerful AI developed by OpenAI that is artfully reshaping the creative landscape. This is the AI engine built into the Voyager Content Portal’s VSCreate app, so we want to spend some time looking at the most productive use of Dall-E 2 for travel professionals.
DALL-E 3 is trained to associate words with images. The result? Artwork that can be both absurdly fantastic and dazzlingly accurate.
Let’s take a look at Dall E3 three and Brand Voice in VS Create. I want to emphasize how to work VS Create into your workflow.
Dall E3 is an AI image generator and it is much more powerful and accurate than Dall E2, its predecessor.
Right now, in our Beta Period, you will have 30 credits a month. We will soon make additional credits available for you to purchase.
This box is where you type your prompt.
Here is my first prompt:
A high definition photograph of a woman seen from behind dressed in a white dress, walking toward a large oak tree in a field of lavender in Provence, France at sunset
Let’s examine that prompt. The words “High Definition Photograph” indicates I want something photo realistic. Telling Dall E3 that I want the woman seen” from behind” give perspective and defines the angle of the photograph. I mention the oak tree to provide additional interest to my image. I give the location “a field of lavender in Provence, France” because I know that Dall E3 was trained on millions of photographs and if I have seen a picture of lavender fields in Provence, I can be pretty sure Dall E3 has as well. Finally the “at sunset” direction give a sense of the lighting that I want.
You will see these same basic elements of prompting used throughout these examples
I generate my image and get something nearly perfect. I fit the image to page, go over to the Brand Voice section, and add my logo and position it.
I now have a branded, totally unique image for my website or social media.
Let’s add a page, and notice that we can change the sizes of each individual page easily.
Here is my prompt: A high definition photograph of a white poodle with unruly hair looking directly at the camera in bright light”
Next image:
A high definition photograph of a cat standing upright looking directly at the camera in bright light, wearing an airline pilot’s uniform and hat.
Note that if you and I both give identical prompts, the image generated will be different for both of us.
As good as Dall E3 is, it will sometimes not give you the image you want. When that happens, you can generate the prompt again to attempt to get something closer to what you are looking to produce.
Here is another one:
My prompt is: “A photograph of a polar bear in blue sunglasses sitting on the beach in a beach chair enjoying the sunset digital art.” The “digital art” portion of this prompt indicates I am not looking for a realistic photograph.
In this next one, however, the clarity and realism is superb.
My Prompt: “A high resolution photograph of two cocktail glasses sitting on the railing of a cruise ship in bright sunlight.”
This produced a great image.
On occasion, the image generated is not satisfactory. Here, my prompt was "A high-resolution photograph of a barred owl staring directly at the camera sitting on a branch from about 10 feet away in bright sunlight." The first image generated had too much of a "starburst" effect. I regenerated the image using the same prompt and got a much better result.
In all instances you must click the "Save" button at the top of the VSCreate screen to save your work.
I want to spend some time with this image to show you how to use VSCreate to take a generated image and use it to create a meme. First I create my "cat in space" image using the following prompt: "A high resolution digital art photograph of a cat in a space suit and helmet flying through space with stars and galaxies behind the cat."
I add a page and generate a very special starship with this prompt: "a space ship with a very sleek design but with cat whiskers on the front of the ship." I copy that image, paste it onto my first. Now I remove the background from the starship image, reposition and resize it.
From Brand Voice I grab my company logo and add it to the image. Then I add text with a favorite font, change the color to white and position it.
Now I have a first class, unique image for my social media posts.
Please feel free to play around and if you produce something you really like, share it in our Facebook Group along with the prompt you used!
